The complexity of flavors characterizing the beans from this region is a result of enviromental factors offered by the volcanic chain of Central Andes. This is a very aromatic coffee, with rounded body , citric acidity and notes of caramelized cinnamon.
Timbío town is located in the east-central region of Cauca department, on the slopes of the western part of the central Andes mountain range. The name Timbío comes from TIM of Quechua origin and means union or relationship, and BIO of Pubenés origin and means river or fountaion. TIMBĺO = Union of two rivers.
