Setting Up Your Coffee Grinder
Understanding how to properly set up your coffee grinder is crucial for extracting the best flavours from your coffee beans.
Step 1
Most grinders have a sticker indicating the direction to adjust for finer grind and the direction to adjust for coarser grind.
For a SLOWER EXTRACTION, you should adjust the grind size finer. For a QUICKER EXTRACTION, you should adjust the grind size coarser.
Adjust the grind size by moving 2 to 3 lines at a time in the desired direction.
Every line you move will result in a difference of 2 to 3 seconds in extraction time.
After making adjustments, there may be some residual coffee grounds remaining in the grinder. It is recommended to pull 2 to 3 double shots to allow the grinder settings to fully take effect and ensure optimal extraction.
Step 2
Make sure to go first through Step 1.
To increase or decrease the quantity of coffee, press and hold the menu bottom until it starts to blink.
Once the blinking starts, you can select which program to change, either the single shot or the double shot.
After selecting the program you wish to change, press the (+) button to increase the quantity or the (-) button to decrease the quantity until you reach 23g.
Approximately every two changes will adjust the quantity by approximately 1 gram of coffee.
Once the desired amount is reached, press and hold the menu button again to save the new settings.
