Stove Top (Moka Pot) Coffee Brewing Guide
A Classic Brewing Method
One of the most popular domestic coffee brewing methods around the globe.
Invented by Italian engineer Alfonso Bialetti in 1933 and named after the Yemeni city of Mocha, this stovetop coffee brewer has become an icon of Italian culture.
Choosing the Right Coffee
We recommend using an espresso-like roast for the Stovetop. Either La Bomba or our Colombian Rhapsody blend will deliver the best extraction with this method.
A fine grind, similar to espresso, delivers the best results with this method.
What You Will Need
Stovetop (Moka Pot)
Coffee grinder (Recommended for fresh and tasty coffee)

Fill the filter basket with ground coffee until evenly leveled with the top.
Step 3 – Add Water
Fill the water compartment just below the safety valve.
Step 4 – Assemble the Stovetop
Insert the coffee basket into the base, then screw the top and bottom sections together securely.
Step 5 – Start Brewing
Place the Moka Pot on the stove over medium to high heat and let it brew.
