Spin for Colombia: A Community Fundraiser Bringing Sydney Together
On 10 August 2026, a devastating 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Colombia, leaving communities across the country reeling and in urgent need of support. In response, a group of Colombians and friends of Colombia in Sydney have come together to organise Spin for Colombia; a community-led fundraiser dedicated to raising funds for those affected.
What Is Spin for Colombia?
Spin for Colombia is more than a fundraiser. It's a celebration of Colombian culture, brought to life by independent DJs, artists, musicians and creatives who share a deep love for their community. This time, we're coming together in the best way we know how: through music, food, stories and connection, to raise funds and provide meaningful support to those who need it most.
Event Details
Spin for Colombia takes place on Sunday, 6 September 2026, from 10am to 5pm, at 16 Buckley Street, Marrickville. Entry is $15, which includes a coffee, served until 1pm.

What to Expect
The day is packed with music, art and community spirit:
Coffee, courtesy of Mule Coffee Roasters, keeping everyone fuelled throughout the day.
Live music Discoteca Tropical, and other groups bringing the sound of Colombia to Marrickville.
An art exhibition curated by Other Latin Art, featuring around 20 Latin artists.
All proceeds from the day will go directly to supporting Colombian victims of the earthquake.
